Walkington is a village on the southern lip of the Yorkshire Wolds, three miles from Beverley by the road over the Westwood. East End and West End run through the middle of it past the pond, All Hallows Church and the Barrel Inn, and the ground rises sharply behind the village towards Walkington Heads and the chalk of the Wolds.
A lot of the housing here is either old village property with narrow frontages or larger detached plots off The Dale, Northgate and Broadgate. Both come with their own quirks - the older cottages often have no off-street space at all, so we handle the East Riding roadside permit for you, while the bigger plots usually take a maxi skip on the drive with room to spare.
We come in over the Westwood past the racecourse and the Black Mill, which keeps the run from our Beverley base short. Walkington and the lanes towards Bentley and Little Weighton are comfortably inside our next-day catchment, and we will always tell you honestly if access looks tight before you commit.
